    Problems Logging in

If you're having problems logging in please read below. it highlights the most common reasons why you may not be able to log in, and what can be done to solve the situation. If you are ever unsure, please contact us using either the form to the right, or the email address listed below it.

There are three possible problems you may encounter when attempting to login:

The first problem is that you may be redirected back to the login box, without any error messages being displayed. If this is the case, please read the information in the first box below on how to solve this problem.

The second problem will be that the login box will present you with one of two error messages.

    1) "Username or Password Incorrect":

    or

    2) "Your account is not active"

Please read the information below to find out how to solve the problem.

Being Redirected to the Login Box : how to solve

If you keep being redirected back to the login box, without any error messages, this means you have not accepted the cookie policy on our website. CSA Revision uses cookies to tell who is logged in and who isn't, without them the login function simply doesn't work. As of May 25th 2018, the introduction of GDPR means that wesbites like ours are unable to assume cookie consent. We know require explicit approval before we can use cookies. Our cookies are not used to collect, nor store any personal information.

Before being able to login, you must accept the cookie policy that appears in a small banner at the bottom of the screen. Once you have accepted the policy you need to refresh / reload your browser by either pressing F5 in windows, or by pressing the refresh / reload button - which looks like a circular arrow in most browsers. You should only need to do this once for each device you're using.

If you can not see the banner, then it maybe that you have accidentally declined the cookie policy. To get the banner to re appear you will need to clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload our website. Please refer to your browser's user guides as to how to achieve this, I have linked below how to accomplish this for Internet Explorer and Google Chrome

Username or password incorrect : how to solve

If you get this message, then you have entered either the incorrect email address or the incorrect password for your account. The email address will be the one you used when signing up to the account. The password will be the one you chose during setup.

If you can not remember your password, then you can click on "Forgot?" within the login box - located below the password entry field - to change your password.

Your account is not active : how to solve

If you get this message, then there are a number of things that could be causing the problem, continue reading below to find out which one may be causing the issue for you

    1) Incomplete PayPal Signup
If you failed to complete the PayPal process fully, then you will not be able to use this website. Remember, the free trial requires you to fully complete the PayPal sign-up process.

    2) Your account has not been activated
If you have successfully completed the PayPal signup process, and still can not access the cases, make sure you have activated your account. To activate your account you must follow the link within the activation email that was sent to your registered email address. (please note this is a required step, without it you will not be able to log in.)

    3) Paypal transaction was unsuccessful
If you have successfully managed to access your account for a period of time (either the first 48 hours, or for the first month or two) but then you get the "Your account is not active" message, then its very likely that paypal has been unsuccessful in withdrawing your monthly subscription fee. If this happens, your account is temporarily suspended. There are many reasons why this may happen (insufficient funds for example), but the most common reason is that no backup account has been set up within paypal itself. As this appears to be a common problem, we have created a step by step instructions below that you can follow to solve this problem. Paypal will try again within 5 days to withdraw the required subscriptions funds, if it is unsuccessful for a second time, it will not try again, and your account will be suspended indefinitely.

setting up a backup account : Only for PayPal Users

If you have read the above, and think that number 3) applies to you, then outlined below are the instructions on how to make sure you have a backup source selected for your subscription.

    1) Log into PayPal
After logging in, click the grey cogwheel in the top right hand corner of the screen (see image below for reference)

    Picture

    2) Go to the Pre-Approved Payment Plan
On the next screen you will see "pre-approved payments" written in the bottom right hand corner within the heading of "payments settings": Click it. (see image below for reference)

    2) Access your CSA Revision subscription
On the next screen you will see a list of all of your subscriptions that have been set up through PayPal. Click on "Lane Apps Limited" (see image below for reference).

    2) Make sure you have a "Backup payment method"
This page will show you if you have a "backup payment method" for your subscription. If you do it will be listed near the bottom of the page, (please see the image for reference). If you do not have a backup source selected, then you will need to select one. PayPal is able to use either a credit card, debit card or bank account. Not having a backup payment method is the most likely reason why your payment failed.
