what do I do now?
First of all, thank you for signing up to our website. By clicking on the 'CASES' tab you will be able to access a variety of clinical cases to facilitate your revision.  Currently there are approximately 60 cases to choose from, but we aim to add new cases as often as possible.  

You can browse cases on your own, to gain insight into the types of scenarios that may come up, and refresh your knowledge with updated management plans.  You can also use the cases as practical revision aids in small groups - we have explained how to do this below. 
Navigating around the Case
In order that the case is easily readable from mobile devices, we have split each case into five basic sub-headings:
  1. Doctors Information
  2. Patient Information
  3. Examination Findings
  4. Marking Proforma
  5. Management Guidelines

These sub-headings are displayed in five circles; the blue circle indicates the subheading you are currently using.  Below is a screen-shot of how it will look:
How to use the cases to aid revision
If you're working by yourself, then feel free to browse all sub-headings and get a feel for the type of content you may find in the CSA exam.

If you're using our website in a small group, then first you need to decide which role each member will take.  One person plays the 'doctor' and they should only read the 'doctor' sub-heading.  The next person will play the patient - they should read the 'patient' information - usually this is a longer section to give this role-player a true character history.  The third person (and anyone else observing) should look at the marking proforma to grade the consultation.  

Start a timer, with ten minutes on the clock - this is how long you will have per consultation in your exam. Play the consultation as if it were real.  Once the alarm sounds, stop the consultation and the person marking should offer some feedback.  During the consultation, if the doctor would like to examine the patient, the examiner can should note whether an examination is required.  In some scenarios, the doctor should actually perform the examination.  In others, they can be shown the findings, providing they ask specifically for them. Each scenario will specify whether or not an examination is required. 

Once complete, as a group, go through the management and explanation subheading - here we hope to direct your attention to any particularly salient points that should have been covered in the consultation, and provide guidance on current management.  Where possible we have included a suggested 'lay explanation' - however it is sometimes useful to create your own, so that you are comfortable explaining the condition.

How do I cancel my Membership

if you signed up using stripe

​Making changes to your membership couldn't be easier if you've signed up using stripe. Simply login, click on Your Name in the top right corner, then click 'My Profile' (direct link here) then click 'Cancel Subscription' and you're done!

if you signed up using paypal

To make your membership as secure as possible, everything is handled by PayPal. This means that when you feel you no longer need access to our website, and wish to cancel your subscription, then you will do so through PayPal.  We have set up a slide show below detailing the steps you need to take to end your subscription. Firstly you will need to log into your PayPal account: here

Step 1: Click Profile (the grey cog in the top-right corner)

Step 4: Click Cancel, and follow the instructions
Once you have cancelled your subscription with PayPal, no further action is required. Your CSA-Revision account will be disabled automatically.
What happens after I cancel my membership
Once you have cancelled your membership, you will still be able to access the cases for one month following your last payment. For example: If you sign up for a free trial on the 10th of January, if you chose to continue as a paid member then payment will be taken 48 hours later. If you then cancel one week later on the 17th of January, you will still be able to login to access the cases until the 12th of February.
